Setting new drug specifications

Identification Thresholds of organic impurities are limits above which an impurity should be identified in a new drug and this relates to the projected dosage of the new drug substance as in the following table.

Friday Fish & Chips

Onyx Scientific is a great place to work. Regular social and sporting events take place. One slightly unusual feature is the occasional company wide fish & chips for lunch as happened last Friday. This is to partially thank everyone for their excellent contributions. It's just as well that many people participate in sport, if only to wear off the extra calories!

French Research Tax Credit Accreditation

Onyx Scientific has received French research tax credit approval.

The French Ministry of Research (Ministere de lEnseignement Superieur et de la Recherche) has granted the French Research and Development tax credit (Credit dImpot Recherche, CIR) accreditation to Onyx Scientific as of June 2010. This initiative allows eligible French pharmaceutical, biotech and agricultural companies subject to corporate tax in France, the ability to claim significant tax relief on costs generated in research and development requirements that are outsourced to Onyx Scientific. Hi,

This is a new blog relating to the business and environment of chemistry R&D as it relates to new drug development within the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry from the perspective of a supplier company.  I will post items that interest me and may interest the development community.  I will pass on my thoughts, for what they are worth, give opinions and offer relevant topics for discussion.
